Become a Heritage Volunteer
Volunteer to speak to our local youth and tell them about your historical or cultural preservation work, family history, ethnic traditions, or culture. These opportunities come during our summer camps, or during the school year at various school districts. Other opportunities happen during our community events. Send us an email inquiring about upcoming opportunities and to let us know you are interested in volunteering.
Volunteer to help us scan and digitally archive historic documents and images. The Sangre de Cristo National Heritage Area recently gained access to a digital scanner and we are in need of volunteers to help us scan and archive our historic documents and images. You could volunteer a few minutes or a few hours of your time, at your convenience during our business hours.
Volunteer to help at our community events, with our booth at the summer festivals, or other community outreach . We are always seeking volunteers to help us create decorations, decorate, set up, or clean up at our various community events throughout the year.
Our next event is the July 4th parade in Alamosa. We need volunteers to walk in the parade and hold our banner and hand out brochures and goodies.
Following that is the Pioneer Days Parade in Manassa, July 21st.
Then the Santa Anna Festival in San Luis, July 22nd.
We value every volunteer with our organization. For us your volunteer contribution helps in many ways. Please send us an email to ask us about upcoming volunteer opportunities, and let us know when and how you can volunteer. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for our contact information.
