In 2013 SdCNHA Heritage Grants assisted local non-profits and organizations to secure over $784,000 in external funding to preserve and restore significant elements within the Heritage Area.

SW Conservation Youth Connection Corps Participants

From buildings to language, projects in the three counties of the Heritage Area experienced an infusion of financial support.

Spring recipients were:

Southwest Conservation Corps – providing work experience for SLV youth

Town of San Luis – Mural Restoration

 

SdCNHA’s total contribution to Heritage Area projects: $87,920. Total external investment in Heritage Area projects (i.e. History Colorado or other funding): $784,988.

Funded projects help promote the mission and vision of the Heritage Area: to promote, preserve, protect, document and interpret its profound historical, spiritual, environmental, geographic, geologic, cultural, and linguistic resources.
